QUESTION & ANSWER

  • This weekend celebrates that I have lived in NYC for 10 years. It’s also a good reason to bring friends and family together. While my decade in NYC has inspired the event, it is people like you that have made my life wonderful and I want to honor that with you.

  • No, you can pick and choose the events that interest you. Only attend the events that you RSVP for.

  • Pay only for the events you want to attend. The weekend is scheduled to provide events at every price point. Prices for each event are listed in the itinerary section of the website. Based on interest, I may request a deposit for paid events so that I can make reservations for large groups.

If you are traveling for the event please plan to cover travel and accommodation costs. If you cannot afford to travel then I understand and would still love to see you next time we are in the same place.

  • If you can’t afford an event but want to attend, reach out to me (Michael) directly. I’ve set aside some money for this purpose.

  • No, please RSVP for each event separately. I will try to make it so that only one person per party has to register for their entire group. Separate reservations helps me monitor interest and send dedicated communications for each event.

  • You can spend time between events as you please. There are no extra activities planned, although spontaneous outings are welcome.

  • No gifts please. Your presence is enough.

If you come to the picnic please bring a blanket to sit on and a snack to share.

  • If it rains during the Central Park Picnic then we will instead go to. the Metropolitan Museum of Art together as a group. I (Michael) anticipate paying admission for the group unless interest is high.

If there is light rain during the sunset cruise we will proceed as scheduled; I plan to book a Yacht that has open and enclosed sections.

If there is bad weather during the sunset cruise then I will attempt to get a refund for the group 24 hours in advance and the event will be canceled.

  • September often offers cooler temperatures in NYC and will hopefully provide the weather we need for outdoor events. Labor Day weekend was chosen because that is when my family is able to travel. It also gives folks who travel a solo day to see the city or time to return home flexibly.

Prices for hotels and transportation may go up as the holiday approaches. Some tourist attractions and shops may close on Monday. Please plan accordingly.

  • Reach out to me via text on the day of the event. If you don’t have my number, email me in advance at michael [at sign] michaelwalker.co
